Background
While conducting extensive research into World War II, focusing on personal accounts of the war, I was inspired to explore my own family history. I discovered that my great-grandfather was a bomber pilot during the North African campaign, and a series of his personal photographs appear in a scrapbook-style layout in the opener of the issue.
